The term eLearning is a slight misnomer. The term has a variety of meanings and the meanings have evolved from its original usage. It can be used interchangeably but generally referes any electronic medium that contents educational content. It can be interpreted as any sort of education involving the Internet, computers, or technology. In the corporate world, it generally refers to the access of training courses over the company’s network. As of late, eLearning has come to define a specific method of attending courses or training programs that are accessed online where students rarely meet face to face. The beauty of this use of eLearning is that students can be located anywhere in the world and the content can be accessed at any time.
